Buddy's Dog Den provides dog daycare, boarding and grooming with 2 locations in Manhattan's Upper East side and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. EXPERIENCED DOG HANDLERS NEEDED FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ** EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH DOGS IS REQUIRED PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT DOG EXPERIENCE*** We are looking for dog handlers to join our team for a new location opening in Upper East Side. MUST : - be able to handle 40+ dogs on a daily basis in a positive and effective way - have basic knowledge of dog behavior to effectively and safely monitor group play. This includes being able to read body language and anticipate issues that may arise in group play based on the dogs temperaments and behaviors - be professional and courteous with clients during client interaction - have good communication skills and be a team player. Able to effectively communicate with staff members to ensure the safety of all dogs and staff. - be punctual and responsible. No call no shows or excessive lateness' will not be tolerated. - be organized and pay attention to detail. Administering medications and food as well as tracking and making sure dogs are receiving what they need as provided to us by their owners. - LOVE TO CLEAN! This job involves a considerable amount of vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, lifting and all around deep cleaning as well as handling dogs of all sizes from 10 pounds to `100 pounds. - be comfortable with all breeds and all sizes. - be flexible with you schedule, available to work holidays and weekends as needed.
