Sunday Funday experience that will allow Black businesses and organizations to enjoy a good vibe while networking in community. You’re invited to pull up to Shining on Sundays (#SOS). This is a Sunday Funday experience I’m curating with a few homies, that will allow Black businesses and organizations to enjoy a good vibe, while simultaneously networking and building community. I’ve come into contact with so many Black Tulsans who tell me what they do, and when I find someone who is doing similar work, they have no clue who I’m talking about. We’ve got to change that, including myself. So for each #SOS event, we will reach out to a Black, Tulsa business to sponsor the experience, in an effort to highlight their service in our community. Yes, we will definitely have a lit time, but we will also have purposeful one. Brunch Menu (until 4:30pm)Main Menu (after 4:30pm) Stevie “Dr. View” Johnson is a DJ, producer, educator and community organizer from Longview, TX. With close to ten years of college student development experience, Dr. View received his PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma, in May of 2019. His written Hip-Hop & album dissertation, entitled Curriculum of the Mind: A BlackCrit, Narrative Inquiry Hip-Hop Album on Anti-Blackness & Freedom for Black Male Collegians at historically white institutions, received the 2019 Bobby Wright Dissertation of the Year Award for the Association for the Study of Higher Education. Dr. View is also the CEO of The Space Program (TSP), an independent record label hub and hip hop collective, as well as CEO of (IN)VISIBLE records. Dr. View is also the Executive Director of Fire in Little Africa, which is a multimedia Hip-Hop project commemorating Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District known as Black Wall Street. Dr. View is married to his wife Ariel, and is a father to his four-year old son, Amir Sky.
