Join us at the Hermosa beach Museum to learn more about the roots of skateboarding in Hermosa Beach with pro skateboarder Cindy Whitehead.
Welcome back to Happy Hour with History at the Hermosa Beach Museum!
This month we will be joined by professional skateboarder Cindy Whitehead to explore the history of skateboarding in Hermosa Beach from the 1960's to present day.
Cindy Whitehead is a 1970’s professional skater and activist. She began freestyle skateboarding in her hometown of Hermosa Beach, and turned professional at the age of 16 when she was one of the female pioneers of vertical skateboarding. Whitehead was one of the first girls out there, proving that skateboarding was for everyone.
