A family-friendly walk to raise awareness for Mental Health programming in our community! Make Your Mental Health A Priority Walk 2021 Location: Wicker Park, Breeze Way Pavillion 8554 Indianapolis Blvd. Highland, Indiana 46322 More About: The walk is about 3 miles around Wicker Park. This is a very family friendly, relaxed walk. Join MHANWI after the walk for a hot dog from the grill and to see if you are a lucky winner of one of the prizes. Event Timeline: 10:45 AM- T-shirt Pick Up 11:20 AM- Group Warm Up/Stretching Activity 11:30 AM- Walk Begins Post Walk- Hot dogs & beverages, drawing for prizes. Cost: $30 General Admission- Includes event t-shirt $10 MHANWI Champion Add On- Includes $25+ worth of goodies and entry into drawings for prizes ** Registration must be submitted by Friday, September 10th 2021. Founded in 1957 as an advocacy group working on behalf of persons with mental illness, MHANWI has grown into a vibrant, innovative organization serving close to 4,000 families each year, with an important focus on children and youth.  MHANWI believes in prevention and early intervention as a means to mitigate risk factors that negatively impact mental health. We prescribe to the philosophy that mental health is the pursuit of well-being and that by providing education and support through evidence-based and evidence-informed programs, we will save and improve lives, creating meaningful generational change.
