Description
Join Angela, her team and Garry Burry - who started familyrenewalproject.com, a Catholic apostolate, at this month's L4L Louisville. Garry Burry Founder of Family Renewal Project As a Louisville native, Garry graduated from Trinity High School in 1974, did not attend college, and started working in the Bacon's Dept store furniture warehouse. At age 17, he moved to the Bashford Manor store, where he sold carpeting and oriental rugs. For five years, he was a volunteer fireman for the Buechel Fire Department. Thirty-eight years ago, he discovered Northwestern Mutual and went on to help families and individuals dream, plan, and choose wisely in managing their wealth. As you can see, Garry met his wife of 33 years while she was working at Northwestern Mutual. They have two daughters, 29 and 27, with grandchild #2 in the womb and started familyrenewalproject.com, a Catholic apostolate, five years ago. They have five full-time and part-time team members working to renew the family. Family Renewal Project was established in 2016 to help “restore the family and renew the culture by educating and forming men and women to understand, embrace, and live authentic love and responsibility.” We strive to connect persons of all ages with the message of Theology of the Body through various programming and events. Luncheons 4 Life brings together life-affirming organizations -- abortion pill reversal support, pregnancy care centers, crisis maternity homes, adoption & foster care placement, abstinence ministries, reproductive loss healing providers, sidewalk advocacy organizations, clergy of all faiths -- and caring individuals seeking their own roles in pro-life ministry to end the demand for abortion. It began seven years ago in Sarasota County, Florida and now hosts ten monthly luncheon events -- eight in Florida -- plus Atlanta, GA and St. Louis, MO. There is no cost for the luncheon -- it is 100% free to all registered attendees -- there is no request for donations, and it is not a platform for political agendas. The purpose of Luncheons 4 Life is to open communication channels among participants through the grass roots, person-to-person networking process over a great meal. While there is always a life-affirming guest speaker, the best part of the program is when we "pass the mic" to anyone of the Spirit inspired audience who wishes to share their pro-life story. Please note: Seating for Luncheons 4 Life events is limited and events are often "sold out". Reservations are required and can only be made through Eventbrite.
