Downtown Street Event on El Paso Street with Live Music, Vendors and Food Trucks South El Paso Street is a historic gateway into our city. Still today, the street is lined with an eclectic mix of small businesses-thousands of people cross this thoroughfare on a daily basis. In 2018, the City of El Paso completed a multi-million dollar streetscape project to create a vibrant, welcoming area and reinforce the street’s moniker—Paseo de Las Luces. The Downtown Fiesta de Las Luces is a monthly event organized by the Downtown Management District to showcase the area, attract people to its businesses, and provide another opportunity to engage the public with our Downtown. This event is free to the public and items for purchase will be available. The Downtown First de Las Luces will be held one weekend (Saturday/Sunday) a month from July to September 2021. Saturdays evenings will be filled with music, art vendors, food trucks and fun under the lights of the Paseo de Las Luces. Sunday afternoons will celebrate the local culture with food trucks serving traditional Mexican fare, mariachis, folklorico, vendors and family friendly activities.
