Our fall Conversation in the Studio series begins with a talk about the architectural work of Ed Dart
Architectural Historian, Bob Goldsborough, will discuss the prolific work of architect Edward Dart. Goldsborough will trace Dart's origins from his upbringing in New Orleans and his studies at the Yale School of Architecture to his work for Paul Schweikher and his impact on the mid-century modern architecture of Wheaton, Barrington and Chicagoland.
The Schweikher House Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the American Institute of Architect’s list of 200 Great Places in Illinois.
The Trust was incorporated in 2009 to help oversee Modernist architect Paul Schweikher’s 1938 home & studio. Supporting events hosted by the Trust will help to further develop programs, tours, and outreach opportunities that promote and educate the public about the House and Studio and its former residents.
