Description
All aboard! Take an evening trolley ride on our heritage railroad and enjoy ice cream sundaes with all the fixin's after you return. Join us for a Seashore Fan Favorite -- Ice Cream Night! Held every Wednesday in July and August from 5:30PM-7:30PM, guests are treated to a special evening trolley ride on our heritage railroad through the museum's campus AND an ice cream sundae with all the fixin's! Tickets are $10/each (children two and under are free; we'll give you boarding passes for your young ones when you check in at the Museum Store upon arrival). Admission includes the trolley ride and ice cream sundae. Because Ice Cream Night is a fan-favorite, we encourage you to purchase tickets in advance. Eventbrite ticketholders are guaranteed a spot on the trolley during the ride you've selected. Tickets are also available at the door but you will be seated after Eventbrite ticketholders (or you may need to wait for the next ride/s to be accommodated). Trolleys will depart at 5:30PM, 6PM, and 6:30PM. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your ticket's boarding time so you are ready to go at your ticketed departure time. A 7PM ride will be added to accommodate demand on select event Ice Cream Nights if the listed timed rides sell out. (Walk-ins should arrive by 6:30PM to participate in the event). Do you or a guest in your group have mobility challenges when it comes to navigating trolley steps? Seashore Trolley Museum now has a Mobilift to help you access some of our operating trolleys! If you or a group member would like to use our lift, let us know when you arrive. This season we're giving back! As a nonprofit, we are so grateful for all of the support we receive from our local community and want to pay the support forward. We've selected 8 other local nonprofits who will benefit from Ice Cream Night in 2021 too! See the full list below. Each nonprofit will receive their own Ice Cream Night Event and co-host with Seashore Trolley Museum. One their night, the nonprofit will receive 50% of all proceeds! This means that the nonprofit benefactor on the evening you purchase tickets for will receive $5 for every ticket sold to support their mission. Some nonprofits plan to have an outreach table and/or sell other goodies at their event to raise even more awareness and funds. We'll post more information here and on our website Event Calendar when they confirm their plans. COVID Policies: As the date gets closer, we’ll post our COVID-19 ice cream serving procedures here and on website's Event Calendar. In the meantime, our guest and internal COVID-19 policies may be viewed here: https://trolleymuseum.org/learn/bylaws-policies/covid-19-policies 2021 Benefiting Nonprofits: July 7th: United Way of York County July 14th: Kennebunkport Conservation Trust July 21st: Habitat for Humanity York County July 28th: Rotary Club of Kennebunk August 4th: The Center August 11th: Kennebunk Free Library August 18th: Arundel Conservation Trust August 25th: Kennebunkport Parks & Recreation Refund Policy: Ticketholders may receive a full refund up to 24 hours in advance of the event. Trolleys will operate rain or shine, but if there's a thunderstorm we will delay the effected trolley ride/s until it passes (and serve ice cream to guests first). If the weather is so inclement that we need to cancel a ride/s or the whole event, Eventbrite ticketholders will have two options: Take a rain date ticket for a future 2021 Ice Cream Night event, or donate the amount of your ticket purchase to Seashore and the benefiting nonprofit of that evening (and you will receive a donation receipt for your taxes). If you pick to come back on a future Ice Cream Night date, the nonprofit benefactor of the original night you purchased tickets for will still receive 50% of your groups' ticket proceeds. We'll communicate with all impacted ticketholders if a weather scenario actually occurs this season. For more Information: If you have any questions or would like additional information, please reach out to our Special Events & Program Manager Patti Chase at [email protected] or (207) 967-2800 x102. Seashore Trolley Museum is the world's first and largest museum of its kind, housing over 350 transit pieces from the 1800s to present, from around the country and the world! Take a trolley ride on our heritage railroad, check out our display barns with our restored trolleys, and more!
