Join Us: Intuitive Painting Workshop with Jenan McClain. Tap into the truth that “we are all creators” and explore learning a different approach rooted in self trust, curiosity, and fun. No experience necessary! An inherent childhood passion, Jenan’s painting flourished following a transformative event four years ago, enabling her to access an intuitive approach beneath her brush. Attending the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC through high school, and under the mentorship of talent Jim Campbell, she first experienced the beautiful beginnings of meditative creation. Much of her textured expressionistic work centers around the maternal in nature: marshes as mothers of the sea, flowers as the divine feminine, and whimsical figurative work-embracing women as equal pillars of strength and fragility. Her features include Skirt magazine, ABC's Low Country Live, GSD Entrepreneur, and blogger collaborations with Andrea Cerrano(Charleston Shop Curator), Ashley Brown (Sweet Southern Prep), Jaime Huffman (Charleston Blonde), Natalie Mason (Snoop Natty Nat), Megan Bonner (Pretty in Pink), Alexis Belbel (A Double Dose), and Shannon Wilardson, (For the Love). Jenan lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with her husband Bryant, ten year old daughter Isla, and mini doodle, Goji. She currently exhibits her work downtown Charleston at the Miller Gallery, selling to collectors nationwide and internationally.
