HALOS and the Department of Social Services is excited to host the first Kinship Caregiver Conference in the Charleston area! HALOS and the South Carolina Department of Social Services is excited to host the first South Carolina Kinship Caregiver Conference on October 30 at the Charleston Marriott. It will be a day-long educational conference for these special caregivers who are parenting a second time around. The conference will bring together up to 150 kinship caregivers to learn about topics like supporting children’s academic success, raising teenagers, caregiver self-care, etc.
