Launching Saturday July 10th, the Paddylpus will attempt to become the world's first human powered hydroplane!
Will history be made?
After years of preparation and avoidance and weeks of fabrication, I'm launching an attempt to pilot the world's first human-powered hydroplane. Unlike the scores of hydrofoils that populate the world of human powered and electric assist water sports, a hydroplane skates on top of the water like a skipped stone.
The Paddylpus is designed to be a speedy ferry to transport you away from shore and be your swim platform for your morning swim. This test will be to find its 100m sprint speed and to attempt to be the first human powered hydroplane in history!
