When the world shut down in 2020, we at Amaré Magazine wanted to do something that highlighted positivity and real movement to make a difference in the world with our Heroes of Change Awards. There is something so powerful about people coming together to share their stories of adversity that makes us all connect on a deeper level and create a space to be ourselves and know our worth! Our Heroes of Change 2021 award recipients are those people who make a difference in our communities, in others' lives, in our world! A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down. We are excited to honor some amazing heroes we would love for you to join us at the Heroes of Change Award Gala on August 25, 2021! HERE ARE THE DETAILS: LOCATION: Hotel Maya in Long Beach TIME: Red carpet opens at 6:30pm and promptly closes at 7:30pm. Dinner begins at 7:30pm and awards begin at 8:00pm TICKET: $150 and includes red carpet, dinner and 1 drink ticket …but wait there’s more! We are excited to be partnering up with the I AM ENOUGH movement ™ and founder/CEO Megan Fenyoe. I AM ENOUGH movement ™ is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization whose mission is to empower individuals to rewrite their story and shift their mindset to embrace their bravery, boldness and never apology for who they are because they finally believe they are enough. The organization is currently raising money to open the doors to Freedom Haven which will be an emergency shelter and transitional living home for survivors of abuse.
