Join the USO North Carolina, Jacksonville for another exciting morning of STEM! Join the USO North Carolina, Jacksonville is bringing an exciting morning of STEM activities . Educators at Discovery Place will teach kids all about Chemical Reactions, kids will engage in action-packed chemical reactions including exploding hydrogen balloons while learning about the properties of materials, the difference between physical and chemical changes and how to recognize when a chemical change has occurred. There will be TWO sessions based on grade level: 3rd – 5th Grade: 10:00am – 10:50am 6th – 8th Grade: 11:30am – 12:20pm • This event will be held Marriott Courtyard Jacksonville. • All military children, 3rd through 8th grades can register to attend. Space is extremely limited for each session. • Events will begin promptly at scheduled times (10am & 11:30am). • Kids must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.
