Daughters Beyond Incarceration in partnership with CitizenShe United and StudioBe presents Incarceration isn't a face, it's a vibe.
In New Orleans, incarceration impacts the vast majority of black communities. Far too often, we forget that children are also included in that number. There's no certain look children give, it's definitely, a vibe. At DBI, we can sense that vibe, because we are the children impacted by incarceration. On Saturday, July 17th, we will honor formerly and currently incarcerated fathers working in our community to advance the lives of those impacted and unveil a short documentary describing the emotions girls experience in response to police brutality and mass incarceration.
