Learn to make a variety of pizzas using foods that you can grow! Bonus information: learn about kitchen scrap gardening. This one day camp is for gluten loving green thumbs - or anyone who wants to learn about making pizza from food that grows well in Washington County. We'll also talk about kitchen scrap gardening to promote sustainable living and using our resources wisely. When: 10:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021 Who: Youth ages 10 and older Where: USU Extension office (at the county fairgrounds) What to expect: We will discuss basic gardening possibilities for Washington County, view the raised bed demonstration gardens at the county fairgrounds, learn about a variety of produce that we can grow locally and make several variations of pizza using locally grown produce. Participants will learn to make breadsticks and pizza dough from scratch. We will also introduce the participants to kitchen scrap gardening as a way to stretch a food budget and practice sustainable living. Come join the fun!
