MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hello neighbors! Welcome to our events roundup, where we tell you about what's happening in Mercer County this week. Here's a partial list of events we think you might enjoy: L.E.A.D Fest State Fair, Mercer County Park: Have you been to this fair yet? Well, you should because Sunday, July 11 is the last day. L.E.A.D (Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence) Fest State Fair, which is New Jersey's agricultural fair, is being held at the Mercer County Park in West Windsor. The admission fee is $5 on weekdays and $8 on weekends and holidays. The agricultural exhibition includes farm animal displays, racing pigs, lots of food, and craft vendors. Did you miss the 4th of July fireworks? As part of the fair, fireworks are planned for July 10. For more details, visit their website by clicking here. Music In The Park, Lawrenceville: Enjoy a summer evening at Weeden Park, Lawrenceville with some live music. Aloha Monkey will be playing classic, Country, Reggae and Blues. The band will cover hits from favorite old-school artists like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Steely Dan, and Bob Marley to more contemporary hits by Green Day, Bruno Mars, Barenaked Ladies, and Toby Keith. The event begins at 6 p.m. You can also buy dinner at the event. The Lady and the Shallot will be selling housemade chili nachos, street corn, and watermelon juice. Goodnoe Farms will have ice cream, funnel cake, chicken nuggets, fries, and more. This outdoor concert is free and open to the public. Happy Hours at the Boathouse, West Windsor: Enjoy food and drinks by the lake. Mercer County Park Commission and Landmark Catering will be holding Happy Hours at The Boathouse on Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Specialty food and drink will be available, along with live music, pontoon boat tours for $4 (weather permitting, and no alcoholic drinks allowed on the boat) and views of Mercer Lake from the grounds. Located at 334 South Post Road, West Windsor, seating in the Boathouse and throughout the grounds is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Happy Hour will end on Thursday, Sept. 2 for the season. This Thursday is Latin Night. Rainbow Moon Fest, Hopewell: Glenmoore Farm and Ecstatic Dance Jersey present Rainbow Moon Festival - an annual summer outdoor festival with music, arts, yoga, and dance. The festival will celebrate local musicians, art, and contemporary crafts, and will include fun wellbeing activities, unique merchandise, and food vendors. There will be three stages with live music and performers, plus educational and wellness workshops. The Festival will end with the EcstaticSoundz Concert and Ecstatic Dance featuring Kaellum, Earth Ephect, and The Sound Sirens. The fest is being held at Glenmoore Farm, 105 Pennington-Hopewell Road on Saturday, July 10 from 12 p.m. Movie Nights On The Green, Princeton: Enjoy a family-friendly outdoor movie in Palmer Square under the stars. This Friday, the movie Sing will be screened, from 8 p.m. onwards. Admission is free. Don't forget to bring your own blanket or lawn chair to socially distance your group on the Green.
