OAKLAND, NJ — Two men were charged after police say they stole used cooking oil thefts from Oakland businesses. On June 30, the two men from Paterson were pulled over by police at a traffic stop at Dogwood Hill School, according to police. During the stop, it was determined that the two men were involved in used cooking oil thefts from multiple businesses in Oakland, police said. They were taken into custody, processed, charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft, and later released.
