Position Summary: IEC is looking for a skilled Porter/Assistant Maintenance Tech to work at our 148-unit apartment community located in Sunnyvale, California. The Porter/Assistant Maintenance Tech must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. General Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc. Sweep the dumpster areas Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect Ad-hoc assignments as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines Facilities maintenance experience At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community Customer service oriented Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime and Reginal support IEC offers a competitive compensation package, including: Company paid healthcare premiums at 100%, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up 401(k) Plan, with 4% company match Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts Company paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up Paid Time Off Company Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Plan Employee Discounts Commuter Benefit Tuesday – Saturday 8:00am to 5:00 pm
