WAUKESHA, WI—There are opportunities for free meals this summer. The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department partnered with local organizations to provide lunches in parks all summer. They include the following. St. Vincent de Paul lunch program for school-age children and their parents. Monday through Friday at noon in Saratoga Park.Salvation Army bagged lunches for children, parents and other adults. Monday through Friday at noon in Sentinel Park. The School District of Waukesha offers free breakfast and lunch this summer for all children under 18 in the Waukesha community.The meals are available at the following four locations on Thursdays. Hadfield Elementary School from noon to 1 p.m., Oakland Street, Door No. 3. Horning Middle School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wolf Road, Door No. 8. North High School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Michigan Avenue, Main Entrance. South High School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tenny Avenue, Door No. 12. Adults may pick up meals on behalf of their children. The district encouraged those taking part in the program to bring a large bag as each child will receive seven breakfast and seven lunch bags. The program will run through Aug. 31.
