Description

RENTON, WA — The Renton Farmers Market dropped most of its remaining pandemic-related precautions Tuesday as guests returned for the first time since Washington reopened last week. The weekly market returned to Gateway Park in June for its 20th season and runs every Tuesday afternoon through the summer. With relaxed restrictions across the state, the Renton market no longer limits how many shoppers can visit at once, which means no more wait times. Fully vaccinated shoppers are free to browse without face coverings, but masks are still advised for unvaccinated guests. The latest changes also mean the return for kid's activities, including play areas for coloring and Play-Doh creations. Live entertainment is scheduled each week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can check out the market every Tuesday until September, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Gateway Park, and free parking is available inside the City Parking Garage, located nearby at South 2nd Street.
