PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Cooling centers across Prince William County are now open after a heat advisory was issued for northern Virginia. The county's libraries will be open for residents on Tuesday, July 6 and Wednesday, July 7 for residents looking to escape the heat. In a news release, the Prince William County government said temperatures could 97 degrees, with a heat index as high as 105. The high temperatures are expected to continue throughout the day on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
