5 Senior Centers Reopen In Prince George's, Plan Summer Events

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation will reopen five senior centers on Monday. These are the facilities and their hours: Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center - M to F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.Camp Springs Senior Activity Center - M to F 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center - M to F 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.John E Howard Senior Activity Center - M to F 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Southern Area Aquatic Recreation Complex Senior Operations - M to F 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These classes will be available this summer: Exercise - Virtual Total Body Workout, Virtual Chair Tai Chi, Virtual Belly Dance Exercise, Outdoor Yoga on the Patio, Chair Yoga, Chair Exercise, Outdoor Chair Exercise and Virtual Chair ExerciseZumba and Dance - Virtual Line Dance, ZumbaFit and Outdoor ZumbaFitArt, Music and Theatre - Virtual Piano Intermediate, Virtual Piano Beginner, Virtual Special Home Projects and Virtual Sewing One-day events include: Virtual - Virtual Paint & Sip, Virtual Sassy Seniors Bingo, Virtual Photo Management and Virtual Laughter YogaOutdoor - Fishing with the Rangers, National Ice Cream Day, Tie Dye Party and Concrete Crafts Patrons must be at least 60 years old and have a Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission identification card. Residents can get this ID at any Prince George's County community or senior center. New members must bring proof of age and residency. Prince George's County and Montgomery County residents can join for free. Other Marylanders can sign up for a small fee. Attendees must be able to participate with minimal assistance.
