About our speakers: Jim Pugh is the current President of Southeast TN SHRM, which is an affiliate Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In his current role at PlayCore Corporation (2014-present), Jim is the Corporate Director of Human Resources. Rebecca Hunter served on Governor Bill Haslam’s cabinet as Commissioner of the Department of Human Resources for eight years. Prior to this appointment, she spent six years as the Director of Human Resources for Hamilton County Government in Chattanooga and held management positions in governmental finance for over 25 years. Merri Mai, a native Chattanoogan and Past President of Southeast TN SHRM, began her career in human resources thirty years ago. Recognizing the necessity for eliminating attrition while obtaining quality personnel, she developed screening procedures which she incorporated into her hiring process... and her attrition dropped 50%, which led to the formation of her company.
