HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — Hunterdon County was ranked number 15 among the 500 healthiest communities in the US, according to a 2021 ranking by U.S. News, which looked at categories such as the environment, infrastructure and community vitality.
Morris County also placed among the top 20 and eight other New Jersey counties were also among the list of 500.
The ranking was guided by a framework developed by a committee appointed to advise the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A total of 3,000 counties were scored based on 84 indicators across 10 categories.
