A group of mayors, including some from Texas, recently pressed US immigration officials on COVID-19-related travel restrictions that remain in effect — ones they say threaten to further hurt their local economies.
The question on their minds: Why has cross-border travel, which has been suspended for more than a year, not been allowed to resume?
