Press release from City of Fort Worth: July 07, 2021 Job seekers from across the region are invited to a North Texas Job Fair 1-6 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Irving Convention Center, 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd., featuring over 150 local businesses looking to hire employees. The fair is hosted by Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne and supported by Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker along with more than 40 local mayors, state representatives and state senators, and participating businesses such as Toyota, Amazon and American Airlines and many more that are looking to hire employees. "As our lives continue to return to normal post-pandemic, the job opportunities are rushing back as well," Parker said. "Events like this North Texas Job Fair give people the chance they need to connect with employers and find an excellent job with a great local business, and this effort made even stronger with Rep. Van Duyne's regionwide approach on the issue by hosting a job fair for all North Texans." Job seekers can find more information about the event and the participating businesses and to receive alerts and reminders about the event. As the date of the job fair draws nearer, the website will serve as a digital hub for some businesses to link the jobs they have available. Van Duyne gathered a bipartisan group of mayors and legislators to join forces to invite individuals all over North Texas to participate in the fair. "This job fair is about empowering North Texans with opportunities, from individuals starting a career in an entry-level position to executives looking for their next challenge. No one who wants to work hard and provide for their family should be without a job, and we are here to make finding that job a little easier on North Texans," Van Duyne said.
