SAN MATEO, CA — For the over 220 residents of The Peninsula Regent, a retirement community in San Mateo, it's been awhile since they have been able to gather together in-person. Over the past week, they've experienced a semblance of normalcy. On June 30, over 80 residents gathered for a garden party in the community's flag court and rose garden. And on July 4, they came together again for a celebration featuring a band and piano playing. "My favorite thing about being able to socialize again is gathering around the piano and singing songs together," said Suzanne Sullivan, a longtime resident. Below are more photos from the 4th of July event: Joan Connolly, the resident in-house piano player, entertains fellow community members at The Peninsula Regent 4th of July gathering.
