Pasadena Reopens Indoor Parks And Recreation Facilities

PASADENA, CA — Community members can once again enjoy the city's indoor parks and recreation facilities. The Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department reopened all of its recreation and community centers Tuesday to the public after being closed for the last year because of the pandemic. The centers have reopened with capacity restrictions, but city officials said limits will increase in the coming weeks. Unvaccinated people over the age of 2 are required to wear a mask at all times when inside a facility, city officials said. Participants and spectators of indoor sports are also required to wear a mask regardless of their vaccination status. "The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to welcome the community back to our facilities and resume recreational programs for residents of all ages, interests and abilities," Parks department Director Brenda Harvey-Williams said in a statement. Here are the centers that have reopened and their hours: Jack Robinson Community Center: 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. La Pintoresca Teen Education Center 45 E. Washington Blvd. Hours: Monday-Friday, noon-6 p.m. Robinson Park Recreation Center 1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Victory Park Recreation Center 2575 Paloma St. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Villa Parke Community Center 2575 Paloma St. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Visit the parks department's website or call 626-744-7500 for more information about the facilities reopening.
