District 105 Board of Education has Recent Vacancy

Description

Due to the resignation of Board Member Virginia Kogen, the Board of Education of School District 105 is accepting letters of interest and applications to fill the vacant seat. After the Board selects a candidate to fill the vacant seat, the term will continue until the next consolidated School Board election in April of 2023. The minimum legal requirements to be a Board member are: Be a U.S. Citizen Be at least 18 years of age Be a resident of Illinois and of the school district for at least one year prior to the appointment Be a registered voter Not be a child sex offender or convicted of an 'infamous' crime Not be a school trustee or school treasurer Not be an employee of the school district Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the school district Not have a prohibited interest in any contract, work or business with the school district Information regarding the application process can be obtained online at www.d105.org / School Board tab or by contacting Kelly Lenti, School Board Secretary, at [email protected]. Required application materials must be completed, submitted and received by 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2021. The Board will interview candidates that successfully complete the application process in the evening on July 19th at Hodgkins Elementary School.
