Job description Our Company is searching for an entry level Purchasing/Receiving Assistant who will be in charge of procuring & receiving fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, and other miscellaneous products for our distribution center. It is preferred the applicant have a background in Food Purchasing, with focus on the Asian markets within the US, and some receiving experience. Our Purchasing Assistant/Receiver will also handle data input for our inventory system, and monthly inventory control administrative duties. Computer skills are a must, as is a great capacity for Customer Service and procurement skills.  Also, prior experience with fork lifts and pallet jacks would be helpful, but not required.  On occasion, some heavy lifting may be necessary. Our healthcare and other benefits are outstanding and our team of workers are supportive and friendly. Working shift would be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and there is one hour allowed for lunch break.
