BERKELEY, CA —It's showtime in Berkeley. The East Bay city kicks off its free outdoor summer movie series Friday at 8:45 p.m. with a presentation of "Trolls" at Codornices Park (1201 Euclid Ave.). The movie series continues through Sept. 24 with six films presented at different locations. Movies are shown on a large portable 20-by-12-foot inflatable movie screen with premium audiovisual movie equipment for outdoor cinemas. Limited street parking is available for these events. It's suggested that those interesting in attending arrive at least 30 minutes before the movie begins. Those attending are also advised to bring blankets, sleeping bags, and low-back beach chairs with a maximum height of 9 inches off the ground so the view of others is not blocked. It is also suggested that patrons bring a flashlight or headlamp to make walking out at the end of the night easier. This is an alcohol-free event.
