DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County's Board of Commissioners has announced that it will return to in-person regular meetings next month, with work sessions and committee meetings remaining virtual until further notice. The last time the commission held an in-person legislative meeting was in March 2020, according to county spokesperson Rick Martin. The Aug. 3 meeting will start at 10 a.m. in Citizens Hall at the Douglas County Courthouse. The board voted unanimously to adopt County Administrator Sharon Subadan's return to work plan at its June 8 legislative meeting. Commissioners also recently approved the re-opening of the courthouse and all administrative buildings to the public, effective this week. A full report of return-to work-guidelines, including protocols and procedures, can be found on the Douglas County government website or Facebook page.
