Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/01/2021 Incident Report Preliminary information:  On July 1, 2021 at around 4:26 p.m., officers responded to Atlanta Medical Center on a male who arrived at the location with a gunshot wound to his thigh.  The victim stated he was riding an E-scooter in the area of Parkway Dr NE and Felton Dr NE when he heard gunshots and realized he was struck.  He immediately took himself to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Investigators responded to the hospital and spoke with the victim.  They will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
