Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/07/2021 211880838 Update: After further investigation which includes interviewing one of the involved parties, the homicide unit has updated and classified this incident as Felon Killed by Private Citizen.  No charges are pending at this time as the investigation continues.  Previously Released: Preliminary Information: On July 7th, 2021, officers responded to 12st NE and Peachtree ST NE in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male with multiple lacerations. He was transported to the hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced deceased. Preliminary investigation indicates the male was stabbed by another male during a physical dispute. Homicide Detectives have one male detained at this time as the investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
