You may not have heard of Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, Inc., but you know our stores – Sadlers, Ashley’s HomeStore, La-Z-Boy, Williams & Kay, The Ultimate Mattress Store, and The Mattress Firm. Our Visual Display Team provides excellent support to each of our Stores and Sales Staff. These positions are in a fast-paced environment with a highly-motivated team! Candidates must possess ability to lift heavy furniture as it is a large portion of the position. Qualifications: •Ability to lift furniture throughout the day •Be dependable, and punctual •Capable of carefully handling merchandise •Clean driving record. •While not required, previous experience with visual merchandising in a retail environment would be preferred • Shown ability to develop and foster working relationships with both management team and staff • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Some travel between Anchorage stores required Job Responsibilities: •Hanging wall décor, lighting lamps, arranging table top arrangements, and straightening showroom floors •Tagging new items •Conducting minor showroom floor item repairs •Pulling merchandise from the stores and transferring to the warehouse for delivery or pick up. •Setting up displays in the show rooms. •Assist with hanging pictures, mirrors etc. •Directing overhead lighting. This is a full-time position.
