Hey, my name is Mel. I am a songwriter/lead vocalist/guitar player looking to put a band together. I'm a seasoned musician who completed an EP project last March in Chattanooga TN, right before moving to Biddeford. With covid I haven't had a chance to put a group together to play my songs and am stoked that venues are finally opening back up. Check out my stuff at martiesky.com. Looking for bass, drums, lead guitar, and possibly keys/rock organ. Maybe fiddle. Maybe dobro. Maybe harmonica. IDK, man, let's just play some music. We have a large practice space with a drum kit in our basement, so that's all ready to go. For songs I want to do a mix of covers and my original stuff, in the realm of roots rock/Americana/pop rock/folk. I'm serious about gigging, possibly touring in New England, possibly another recording project. I run my bands pretty democratically (no ego, ideas welcome, split all $ equally, etc). I'm also very organized and have been told I'm pleasant to work with. This will be a good fit if you: - Can commit to practicing once a week in Biddeford - Are serious about gigging and playing originals - Enjoy creative collaboration and co-writing - Are fully vaccinated - Have good vibes :) Please send samples of your work and let me know what you are excited about playing these days.
