Cat needs new home, spayed female

Anchorage AK

Description

We got our cat “Dave” (yes, she’s a girl) at the shelter and had her for a couple of years, but then we moved to a rural part of Alaska. She is staying in Anchorage with someone who agreed to foster her short term. She is used to spending time outside, but she’s happy staying inside as well. She is a good cat overall, but her response to children varies. She has scratched children in the past and since we recently had another baby we were a little hesitant to keep her now that the baby is old enough to roam around. On the other hand, she has allowed our 4 year old to pick her up and carry her around before. She would likely do best with older children. She is not very fond of other cats, but she may do ok in a home with dogs as long as they leave her alone. Dave always goes in her litter box, she’s not destructive and she is loving. We aren’t sure her age, but she isn’t elderly. Probably not older than 8 years old based on the estimate from the vet. Please contact me if you’re interested in meeting her!
