ABOUT THE TEAM This team works closely with all departments at Best Buy Health to include Caring Center Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product Development Billing Ops, and outside product and services vendors, including product manufactures. Their main responsibilities include Supply Chain Operations, Demand Planning for all products, Logistics and Order Fulfillment for all sales channels (Direct to Consumer, Retail Partners and Ecommerce Partners). This team also supports our growing B2B business in the Senior Living/Managed Care channels. ABOUT THE JOB The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The person in the role creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. The Demand Planner is the integration point into the Sales, Supply Chain and Product teams and will be responsible for basic forecast modeling and will lead the monthly dialogue for their respective customers and products. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as a part of a demand planning function • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine forecast model to reflect updates sales and marketing assumptions • Interact with supply chain, sales, marketing, product and finance teams to understand demand forecast drivers • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with sales, marketing and finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts • Provide input to the supply chain and procurement organization in developing inventory strategies on existing product, new products and end of life products • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning • Execute with excellence in customer replenishment and feedback to the Supply Chain group the opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment performance metrics • Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs. • A customer demand forecast which incorporates current and accurate market information that allows the company to correctly predict customer demand and provide its supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet that customer demand • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: • Minimum 1 year of experience in a product-based environment • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supply chain/logistics-based environment required • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Customer Service systems • Prior experience in the wireless or telecommunications industry preferred • Prior experience in demand planning, forecasting and forecasting methods Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Computer skills including typing and prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite Personal Attributes: • Results oriented • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information • Strong analytical skills. • Resourceful and able to multitask • Team player with the ability to develop positive working relationships with peers • Ability to set priorities and stay focused • Ability to learn new technologies quickly • Action oriented • Approachable Apply now:
