Bass player wanted for an indie-ish rock band. Some of the bands we like include Guided By Voices, Pavement, Television, Black Sabbath, Galaxie 500, The Feelies, The Mountain Goats, Thin Lizzy, The Velvet Underground, The Clean, Ex Hex, Songs:Ohia, Silver Jews, 'Wild' Billy Childish, Half Japanese, Boyracer, Iron Maiden, Rolling Blackouts CF, Meat Puppets, Truman's Water, Jonathan Richman, Buzzcocks, Beat Happening, Ramones, etc, etc. Basically indie-rock/pop, with occasional gestures towards more punk and metal styles, plus the odd ballad every now and then. We are two men and a woman, 30s - 40s. We have lots of original songs, some of which were released on an album you can hear at https://jigsawrecords.bandcamp.com/album/pzl151-slum-summer-ababo. If you play bass and are interested in joining a band that is looking to play a show every few weeks and make records from time to time, without harbouring any illusions of 'hitting the big time,' let me know. If you are open to singing some backing vocals that would be a great bonus, and song-writing contributions are also welcome, though not mandatory.
