Paver Operator/Screwman Fairfax Asphalt, Inc. is a 2nd generation paving company whose been providing the Twin Cities area with quality asphalt since 1969. Our hardworking crew provides precise grading and prep work so the base and asphalt are both firm and durable. The attention to detail we put into every project gives our customers the self-assurance to expect a smooth ride for years to come. We have an open position for a reliable, skilled paving operator. Knowledge of equipment and how to run a screw is a must. We are looking for a self-motivated hard-working individual willing to work long hours to join our team! Benefits: * Health Insurance * Daily overtime pay * Retirement plan with company matching contributions * Bonuses * Off-Season training Job requirements: * Valid class CDL with a clean driving record and medical card * Must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. * Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work closely with others * Use equipment and tools properly and safely * Flexibility to work long hours during the paving season including the occasional Saturday * Paver operator experience (experience on driveways is a plus!) Duties include but not limited to: * Meet with Project Manager on a daily basis to go over scheduling * Discuss schedule and equipment needed for the day with the paving crew * Setup paver and execute best paving practices for each job-site**Carlson Paver** * Ensure quality workmanship; help and direct paving crew as needed * Communicate with plant operator throughout the day regarding material need * Discuss with project manager and grading foreman any issues on jobsite * Report any necessary vehicle/equipment repairs or maintenance to mechanic on duty
