Landscaping company based out of North Stonington, CT is seeking to fill a full time landscape maintenance position. Company is committed to and has an excellent reputation for providing high quality landscaping services to a high-end client base along the southern RI and eastern CT shoreline. Job requirements: • A strong work ethic and good attitude. • Ability to follow instructions and work well with others. • Punctual, respectful, reliable and trustworthy. • Exemplifying an overall standard of professionalism while at work. • Being in overall good physical shape as this is physically demanding job. • Having or getting a DOT medical card. So a valid driver’s license with a relatively clean driving record is needed. No drugs • Previous landscaping experience. (At least 2 years) Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Spring and fall cleanups. • Edging, mulching and weeding of planting beds. • Trimming, pruning, planting and transplanting of small trees, shrubs and perennials. • Lawn mowing and trimming. • Safe and skillful operation of commercial landscaping equipment such as zero turn and walk behind mowers, weed whackers, back pack blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers etc. • Carrying and hauling materials (both light and heavy) • Driving a 1 ton dump truck or a ¾ ton pickup with an equipment trailer attached. • Digging, shoveling, raking and other general landscape labor. • Snow removal in the winter months Starting pay will be based on experience (but in the $17.00 to $25.00 an hour range).
