Description
We unfortunately are having to rehome our dog. His name is Bear and he's a german shepherd mix. We adopted him when he was 3 months old about a year ago. The last couple months our kids have been stressing him out. He has growled at them and has nipped at them a few times. We are worried that if this continues one of them could get hurt. We dont want to bring him to the shelter if they decided to put him down. Hes a good dog besides that. Hes a bit hard headed and stubborn though. He knows sit and shake. Walks decent on a harness. He has had a bad past though. He was rescued of a reservation on the four corners area. Was abused, had a broken knee cap and was shot in the back. So it does explain his behavior. I would recommend someone whos active and no kids. I would say no other dogs or cats. Hes around dogs and a cat now but he does get irritated with them and is rough with our cat. He has attacked our oldest dog, but shes declining in health so that could be the reason. He can be food aggressive at times, which again is explainable from his past. Maybe someone with a farm would be good for him. Unfortunately we don't have the time or money for professional dog training. We are asking $100 to rehome him just to make sure he will go to a good home.
