A complimentary opportunity to check out a new comedy show, All Wigged Out, an original show featuring the Grammy winning musical duo Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, best known for their folk music and children's music albums that go back 40+ years! We are filming this new show and would love to have you in the audience for this opportunity! This is being filmed in the hopes of airing on PBS, an airdate has not been decided. It’s more or less a one-woman show featuring Marcy recounting her survival of breast cancer, the unique ways her illness affected her as a musician and the universal feelings of fear, loss and ultimate triumph that many can relate to. Because it’s Marcy telling her own story, we know it has an upbeat and happy ending, so while the show certainly addresses a serious story and issue, it is told with wit, warmth and joyful music. At times Marcy is joined on stage by Cathy, her personal and professional partner, for truly beautiful moments of connection and “Mad About You” style moments of comedy — again, things we can all relate to. And they are backed by three wonderful musicians, including a veteran of the band that performed SIX at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. This all-female cast will be imbued with graceful bad-assery.
