Description
The agronomy operations laborer performs daily tasks related to our Agronomy and Grain department. Must be courteous, customer service minded, and able to work both individually and in a team setting. Truck, forklift and/or large equipment experience a plus. Training is available to individuals eager to contribute to company growth. These positions have potential for advancement. Job Responsibilities • Perform day-to-day activities of our business including, but not limited to: blending and loading dry/liquid fertilizer/pesticide, feed/seed/pesticide warehousing, grain handling and conditioning, stored grain condition monitoring, etc. • Facilitate repairs and maintenance on company equipment, and accurately complete all necessary records • Take initiative to do what needs to be done without direct supervision or direction • Perform tasks in other All-American Co-op departments including, but not limited to, loading/unloading grain trucks, housekeeping and maintenance • Effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and customers • Follow strict company safety protocol procedures including, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry, Lock-out-Tagout, and use of Personal Protective Equipment while keeping yourself and others safe • Understand and comply with OSHA, MDA, DOT, EPA, PCA regulations and company rules and written procedures • Neatly and accurately complete and maintain written records as required by the company and/or government regulations • Greet and serve all customers promptly and courteously throughout the facility Requirements • Must have a valid class D or Commercial driver’s license (preferably Class A CDL) with necessary endorsements and maintain commercial insurability; must pass DOT physical and subsequent required drug testing • Driving history shows a pattern of safe vehicle operation • Ability to shift focus between any and all departments as work load and labor needs dictate • Ability to communicate daily with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to perform needed tasks of the company to further enhance All American Co-op’s mission and image • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks during peak workload times • Job requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including seasonal requirements to work long hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends • Meet the physical and mental demands of working extended hours, repetitive heavy lifting (up to 55 pounds), and climbing ladders to perform tasks at elevated or below-grade locations • Large equipment background preferred but not required More employment info:
