My name is Daniel and I'm the creator of Nomad Rides, which is a ridesharing service where rides are 20% cheaper for riders & drivers make 20% more compared to rides on Uber/Lyft. Nomad first began at Indiana University two years ago and has grown explosively since then. Nomad is now available in three college campuses (Indiana Univ, Univ of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and Univ of Florida) and has completed more than 100,000 rides to this date. I launched Nomad in Indianapolis a month ago and we are already getting flooded with ride requests, especially in the weekend evenings. This past weekend, we missed $2000 worth of rides because we didn't have enough drivers. As such, I'm looking to hire drivers at $18 / hour, who can drive 7PM-3AM Friday & Saturday, and give rides to our passengers. We like to move fast and are looking to have individuals start this weekend. Driver Position - Pay: $18 per hour, paid daily (you'll receive $144 / day, paid out daily) - You'll be using your own vehicle (2006 or newer) - Must be 21 years or older with a clean driving record (no DUIs) - Have a fun personality as you will be meeting many new people. - We're looking for individuals who can drive 7PM to 3AM Friday & Saturday ------------------------------------------ Driving for Nomad is an incredibly easy and fun job. We have a cool feature where riders can favorite drivers and have the ability to directly request rides to their favorite drivers. We’re starting to see what we call “celebrity drivers” who have more than 300 riders favoriting & preferring to take rides with them. Riders will frequently tell their friends “The other day I took a ride with (Mary), and it was awesome! You should totally get a ride with (Mary) tomorrow.” In addition, we’re strong believers in building a community and have committed ourselves to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive ridesharing community for our drivers. Our investors include Altos VC (early investors in Roblox), Y Combinator (early investors in Airbnb, Twitch, and Doordash), and General Catalyst (early investors in Snapchat, Warby Parker, and GroupMe). Nomad has also been featured in Forbes. The founders of Nomad are Daniel Jones and Michael McHugh. They originally launched the company when they were seniors at Indiana University. Daniel is a coder from Brown University, and Michael is a business major from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
