Description
His name is Basil and he has just turned 2 on February 22. He also is neutered.
Please only contact me if you are serious.
He can be very loving and cuddly, but only when he is in the mood for it. Most of the time he relaxes near me, on a comfy chair, or looking out the window. I find him to be a great companion.
He is slow to warm up to people, so his new owner will need patience as he becomes comfortable with you. He also does scratch the couch, but I have trained him not to scratch my desk chair, so this is a behavior that can definitely be changed.
I do not think he would do well with small children as he does become irritated when someone does not listen to his body language, he will let you know with a small soft bite or with him pushing your hand away that he does not want to be pet. So he needs to be with people who respect him and his space.
He does not have a lot of experience with other animals, he has had a few encounters and he is very interested in them. He has scratched other animals when they came too close before he was comfortable. But when given time he has become friendly with other animals, he just needs time and more patience.
I really care about Basil and would like him to go to a good home with lots of patience and love. If you think you may be a good fit, please send me an email with a bit of information about yourself.
He will come with all the supplies needed (litter box, litter genie, food, food bowls, litter, harness, carrier, and a diy litter box enclosure if you would like it). I am asking for a rehoming fee of $100 (or what you think is fair) to cover the cost of supplies. My intention is not to make money off of him, simply to find him a good home.
