Job Title: Journeyman Plasterer Job Purpose: · Finish walls around newly installed windows, doors and walls to create a matching paint ready surface. · Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. · Mix mortar and plaster to desired consistency or direct workers who perform mixing. · Mold and install ornamental plaster pieces, panels, and trim. · Rough the undercoat surface with a scratcher so the finish coat will adhere. · Spray acoustic materials or texture finish over walls and ceilings. · Decorative textures in finish coat, using brushes or trowels, sand, pebbles, or stones. · Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete · Communicating with upper supervisors to ensure the job is being performed satisfactorily · Help prioritize work schedules and delegated assignments · Maintain a clean work area at all times. Requirements: - Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) - 3+ years of experience - Detail oriented - Team player Job Title: Painter Laborer Painter Job Purpose: Responsible for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces. May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to the construction industry. Painter Job Duties: · Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint · Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces · Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires · Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner · Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes · Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project · Calculating the amount of materials and time required for the project · Removing fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers · Taping off areas as needed · Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete · Communicating with upper supervisors to ensure the job is being performed satisfactorily · Help prioritize work schedules and delegated assignment Job Title: Carpenter Journeyman We are looking for a highly experienced Carpenter who is familiar with all aspects of the industry. Must have valid driver’s license, own vehicle, tools and able to pass a drug test. This is a full-time position You should have experience in residential construction, and in all phases of general remodeling in residential or commercial work. Responsibilities · Prepare the layout of the project. · Ability to estimate height, width, length, and other proportions. · Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors. · Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. · Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. · Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. · Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw · Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. · Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. · Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. · Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools. · Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. · Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool. · Construct light-gauge and load-bearing steel framing for interior partitions and exterior framing. · Must be able to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights.
