This gorgeous hunk of horse is Zeus and he's roughly 18-22 and 15.3 but acts like like hes only 10. He is very tough and built to go go go. He is definitely more GO than woah but i do not recommend him as a riding horse unless you plan to work with him in a very and i mean VERY GENTLE, CALM AND PATIENT way. A little back story behind Zeus is when he was roughly 5 he was found to be the ONLY horse left alive in this property where a group of men were trying to "teach him to dance" by tying him in a narrow shoot and restricting his heads movement and then beating him with boards til he "danced"... there was also evidence of dog bites on his legs and under belly and the rescue that saved him believe he may have also been used as a bait animal for some fighting dogs that were found by animal control when they finally saved Zeus. Zeus was rescued by a local rescue and was there for 4-5 years getting worked with and fattened up and in all that time he refused to trust or even try to trust anyone they barely were able to get a halter on him. Then i came into the picture... I went everyday from morning to night and worked with him and after MONTHS AND I MEAN MONTHS of hard work and trial and errors he and i created a bond and im now the only person he truly trusts. Zeus has darn near impeccable ground manners and lunges like a dream with hands signals. his issue is under saddle, he has recently developed a bucking and rearing issue but not something a good rider cant sit through. i also feel like it may be caused by pain due his history. Now the only reason im rehoming Zeus is cause i have fallen into a bad situation and can no longer afford his care qnd it breaks my heart cause hes amazing for the right person. i know he seems old but this horse IS A TANK and with proper time and a bond he will be perfect with maybe a few quirks he and his partner cant work out. But i really think he would thrive in a retirement home as companion or maybe an on ground therapy program for adults. I am willing to take my time finding him the right person I absolutely WILL NOT let him go unless i truly feel like you'll take the time he needs also i will be requiring a contract to be signed. Im very willing to Barter deals for him i really just want him to be happy thats all Money means nothing over his happiness in life.
