Carpenter Foreman Golden Triangle Construction, Inc., Carpenter Foreman provides the knowledge, skills and experience required to prepare building layout, construct with wood, plywood, light gauge steel and concrete formwork using carpenter’s hand tools, power tools and equipment. Manage and maintain onsite tools and equipment. Ability to operate site equipment including but not limited to; skid steer, forklift, truck or other motor vehicle. Analyze blueprints and contract documents for information and dimensions relative to material fabrication and/or structures. Manage and work with a small composite crew of carpenters and laborers. Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day field activities of composite crews to ensure timely completion of tasks. • Establish and maintain dimensional controls, including oversight and back check of 3rd party survey personnel. • Quality control of self-performed work by composite crews. • Enforce compliance with the contract documents for self-performed work activities. • Enforce maintaining a clean and safe work environment. • Participate and/or administer weekly Tool Box Talks • Manage project closeout and punch lists to ensure timely completion Minimal Qualifications • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial general contractor or specialty contractor engaged in general building and civil construction. • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a construction Foreman with a commercial general contractor or specialty contractor engaged in general building and civil construction. • Education: High School or equivalent • Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written. • Current safety credentials to include OSHA 10hr, 1st Aid and CPR • Must demonstrate an understanding of construction means and methods associated with civil, structural, architectural construction.
