Scrappy - very unfortunately - needs to be rehomed. MUST BE ONLY DOG - okay for older children. Status: age: almost 5, weight: 60, health-status: up to date on all vaccinations, neutered: yes, general demeanor around other dogs, cats, and small children: charges small animals, okay with small children - never had an incident, but I wouldn't trust him. About him: Pit/ridgeback/boxer possibly German Shepard mix, nearly 5 years old. He's a super smart, goofy guy with one major character flaw (probably breed related). What do we (me via Lucky Dog Animal Rescue) know about him? He's coming from rural, southern Virginia, surrendered on January 21st 2021, in foster for a week through Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, then I adopted him. He enjoys watching squirrels on TV, sleeping, tearing his toys apart, being outdoors, chasing squirrels, deer - anything small that moves really - and very, very long walks. before June we would typically clock about 10-15 miles during the week and 10-20 on weekends. He loves hiking and the woods (lots of things to sniff, chase, and pee on). Memorial Day weekend he sprained his paw, so we stopped doing the extra long walks. He's ridiculously awesome with people! He takes treats nicely, he licks faces on the first meet, loves belly scratches. but not dogs. We can talk about the dog-on-dog events separately - generally, though, if you provide walks, a fenced backyard, scratches, squeaky toys, a bone and a TV, he'd be the best dog you ever had! He'll provide loyalty, companionship and a lot of love in return! No cities though, and no dog parks. You'll think he's doing well, and 95% of the time he's great with other dogs, but then he sees something, an opportunity perhaps with a new walker who disregards his owner's instructions, and you'll find yourself stuck with polite, neighborly threats and an eviction notice. Craigslist is not my first option. I am still trying to keep him in my circle, I love this guy, he's my best friend, but I can't bring him back with me. I'll even throw in his 4 months of barkbox! As for fee, it's very, very, very negotiable. very. I posted something very similar in South Jersey and it was flagged, so I don't know what that was about.
